Sgt. Josh Johnson tore both rotator cuffs carrying an injured Iraqi. While being flown to the hospital, a bomb blast took most of his hearing. His wife Stacy contacted the Coalition because "the truck payment was going to be late and we were not going to be able to buy groceries for our daughters Emma, Maya and Kyree this month." Coalition donors rushed the Johnson family emergency aid. "I was almost ashamed to ask for help but the Coalition was so helpful and understanding that it made it easy."

Dear Gen. Singlaub,
YES, I want to help our troops who have been severely burned, blinded, paralyzed, brain-damaged or suffered other disabling injuries while serving in Iraq or Afghanistan.
I understand these wounded heroes are facing financial disasters because half their spouses have been forced to quit their jobs to care for them. And other spouses who were working have lost their jobs in the recession.
Please use my tax-deductible donation to help provide food, clothes and other necessities for our disabled troops and their families, or to help them avoid evictions, foreclosures, utility disconnections and other crises.
I’m making a contribution to the Coalition to Salute America’s Heroes, in the amount of:
